Group Executive Board



Born in 1976, a Swiss citizen, he is a member of the Executive Board since 2018. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen. Before joining Banca del Ceresio he was the CEO of a private bank based in Lugano and Zurich and had experiences as CIO, head of asset management, as a fund manager for institutional clients and as an advisor for international private clients. He is currently an adjunct professor at Università della Svizzera Italiana, Franklin University Switzerland and has experience in academic research and teaching in Switzerland and abroad.


Born in 1970, a Swiss and Italian citizen, he is a member of the Executive Board since 2018. He holds a degree in finance from Bocconi University in Milan as well as specializations from the Swiss Training Centre for Investment Professionals and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Gabriele spent most of his career servicing international institutional clients out of Basel, Zurich and Geneva, where his last position was as European head for a Geneva private bank. Before joining Banca del Ceresio he served 4 years as executive vice-president of a Swiss banking institution responsible for private Italian clients.


Mr. Nocera is the Managing Director and CIO of BCM. He is a member of the investment committee of the Group's multi-manager funds, a director of Global Selection Advisors Ltd. and Global Selection SGR SpA. He is also a member of the Investment Committee of Haussmann General Partner. Mr Nocera established BCM in 1995. From 1984 to 1994 Mr. Nocera worked for Bankers Trust Company in New York and London where he held various positions. He received a BA degree in Economics from Brown University and an MBA from New York University.


Born in 1970, Swiss citizen, he is a member of the Executive Board since 2021. After some years’ experience in the fiduciary sector and bank auditing in Zurich, in 1996 he joined a well-known auditing firm where he qualified as a Swiss Certified Public Accountant in 1999. In 2001, he joined Banca del Ceresio as head of the Finance/Risk Control function before being appointed, in 2021, as Managing Director responsible for the Finance and Controls division.


Alessandro Santini is a member of the Group Executive Board and Group Head of Corporate Advisory and Investment Banking and Head of the Group's Ceresio Investors Private Markets investment program. Prior to joining Ceresio Investors, Santini was CEO of BSI Merchant SpA (the corporate finance division of BSI Bank - formerly Generali, now EFG International) since 2012. Previously he worked for the Ferragamo Group and a major Italian Family Office as Partner and General Manager. He has gained solid experience in M&A and Investment Banking following medium and large sized companies, completing several significant domestic and international transactions. Alessandro holds a BA in Finance from Mercy College (New York) and an MBA from LUISS Business School in Rome.


Appointed Managing Director of Ceresio SIM in July 2021. Loris has over 20 years of experience in private banking and investment management. Prior to joining Ceresio, Loris delivered a number of key strategic initiatives within the Julius Baer Group  in Zurich, Lugano, Milan and London. Most recently, he was General Manager at Kairos in Milano (2020-2021), Head of Portfolio Management International in the Investment Management division in Zurich (2018-2019) and Head of Product and Services at Julius Baer’s London office (2017-2018). From 2002 to 2011, he worked for Credit Suisse, where he built his reputation in consulting and asset management services. Loris received a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Linz, Austria, with a specialization in Information Technology and Organization.
