Antonio Foglia graduated from Bocconi University with Prof. Luigi Einaudi and began trading.

Antonio Foglia (1891-1957) began his activity as a banker and stockbroker in Milan. Internationally active since the early years of his career, he was the first President of the Milan Stock Exchange after the Second World War.

The beginning of the  American banking activity with the acquisition of Victor Paullier & Cia in Montevideo, Uruguay. The managers include Giulio Barelli and Gianbattista Foglia, son of Antonio.

Establishment of Banca del Ceresio in Lugano (First Annual Report BdC).

Publication of first studies on listed companies.

George Soros' Quantum Fund is born. Alberto Foglia will be a director and subsequently Chairman of the fund.

Collaboration with Haussmann Holding NV begins and the development of multi-manager funds initiates.

1998-1999

Acquisition of Belgrave Capital Management in London and the creation of the Vitruvius SICAV.

2001

Acquisition of Eurofinleading Fiduciaria in Milan.

2003

Launch of Global Selection SGR in Milan and of the Global Managers Selection Fund.

2004

Collaboration with Levereged Capital Holdings of the Rothschild family begins.

2006

Establishment of Ceresio SIM in Milan.

2011

A classroom is dedicated to Antonio Foglia at Bocconi University.

Opening of a new Milan office.

Start of Corporate Advisory activity in Milan.

The Group Banca del Ceresio becomes Ceresio Investors. 
The name Ceresio Investors emphasises the strong identity of the group, capable of providing independent advice and listening to the ideas of its clients: a true investors' club in a financial world that is becoming depersonalised.
